Blue Trivalent Passivate for Zinc
FINIDIP 124 is a trivalent chromium passivate for electroplated zinc deposits with compliance to the automotive industry. It forms a uniform, bright film with a pronounced blue cast.
FINIDIP 124 is typically applied to control the coefficient of friction and/or to increase the corrosion resistance. It is easy to tailor to the unique operating characteristics of any given installation, or piece of operating equipment. What’s more, it utilizes lower operating temperatures and shorter dwell times than competitive processes.
This formulation operates with a single replenishment additive that can be added on a predictable schedule. When used in conjunction with FINIDIP 12, a unique inhibiting agent, it provides longer bath life and consistent corrosion protection in high Fe loading scenarios.
This process is suitable rack and barrel applications and delivers both appearance and performance consistently.
