Inorganic Top-Coat

FINIGARD 200 A is a specially formulated liquid concentrate, used to impart increased corrosion protection to parts processed with COVENTYA FINIDIP or LANTHANE conversion coatings.

Developed to meet the demands of the automotive industry, FINIGARD 200 A protects zinc and zinc alloy finishes against corrosion in a variety of environments.

FINIGARD 200 A can be used to leach yellow and olive drab chromates

Features & Benefits

  • Excellent ductility
  • Superior white rust corrosion resistance (>200 hrs)
  • Effective on all passivated zinc and zinc alloy coatings
  • Provides for control of the coefficient of friction
  • Suitable for rack applications and bulk processing
  • Protective properties of film produced remain unchanged by repeated thermal aging at 120-150°C for several hours.

Fields of application

  • Automotive industry
  • Building industry
  • Fastener industry

This process belongs toFINIGARD LINE

The FINIGARD line from COVENTYA is a comprehensive collection of products designed to enhance corrosion resistance and control coefficient of friction for some of the most challenging zinc and zinc alloy fastener applications in the world.

FINIGARD products are mineral and organo-mineral topcoats with highly active and permeable layers that maintain proper water content in the critical passivated or chromated films. This maintains the self-healing properties and enhances corrosion resistance, even in difficult environments.

Products from FINIGARD line can be applied on clear, black and yellow films over both zinc and zinc alloy and deliver the desired results consistently.

All FINIGARDs are free from Cr (VI) and any hazardous compound.

Fields of application

  • Automotive
  • Building industries
  • Wire goods
  • Aerospace
  • Electrical equipment
  • Furniture
  • Leisure equipment
