All of our Gold processes are controlled by CIE parameters, which refer to the colour appearance of the deposit for which the eye responds to. Created by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), the index uses three characteristic units on a sphere of colours.
L * a* b* are colorimetric values, which are:
- L for lightening: from white (i.e Silver to dark)
- (+) a for red colour (-) a for green colour
- (+) b for yellow colour (-) b for blue colour.
This international standard is set to facilitate the communication among users, i.e. Design, Fashion and Luxury industries.

Neutral and alkaline processes are formulated to achieve numerous, yet precise golden colours as flash Gold plated. The EPIDOR Line offers a full range of processes within the series of NIHS colours, from a pale white to a green hue through to a deep pink colour.
A complete range of flash Gold plating processes by sulfitic media are to be used as top layer in fashion applications. The sulfitic electrolytes allow the plating of slightly different colours compared to EPIDOR. The AURECO processes are free of hazardous metals.
Gold plating processes by sulfitic media are to be used as a top layer or an under layer in Fashion applications. The sulfitic electrolytes allow the plating of a specific light yellowish pink tint.
A complete range of acidic flash Gold plating processes, Nickel and Cobalt free, is used to cover the NIHS range of colours: 1N as flash, 2N and 3N as heavy deposits. All colours comply with the RoHS Directive.
PARELEC processes are recommended especially for the treatment of connectors, printed circuits and electrical contacts, either by rack, barrel or continuous operation. At equivalent Gold concentrations, the PARELEC processes offer a plating speed of 1½ to twice faster than traditional baths.
SILVIUM is a wide range of organic and organo-metallic additives designed to fulfil all demands of soft or hard Silver deposits with non metallic or deep metallic white colours.
RUTHENIUM is used as a finish thin layer in order to obtain a special dark colour. Very stable processes are designed to achieve dedicated colour as measured with the Minolta Spectrocolorimeter CIE, value L until 58, both in alkaline and acidic media.
RHODIUM are very stable processes designed to achieve a unique white colour range as measured with the Minolta Spectrocolorimeter CIE, value L until 92 in acidic media.
This includes a full range for pure and alloyed Palladium plating processes. DECOMET plated deposits have similar reactions to Gold deposits. They may be used to reduce the plating costs of Gold layers. The DECOMET processes are mainly used as sandwich layers in combination with or without a PARADOR layer.
The COVENTYA PLATINUM Line is composed of very stable acidic and alkaline processes offering a unique white-dark-grey colour finish. Major applications are found in Writing Tools and Eyewear / Optical Frames.
